My name is Catherine. Welcome to my ‘Slim and Stay Slim’ website. I know for myself how hard it is to lose weight and get slimmer. And even if you succeed in shedding those extra pounds, it’s even harder to discover how to stay slim:

The supermarket trolley seems determined to drag you down the aisles where they stack the cakes, the biscuits, the crisps, and the chocolate.

Eating out ruins all your best intentions. After ordering that healthy main course, surely you can allow yourself – just this once, so you think! – one of those fatty and sugary desserts, with another class of wine to wash it down.
And going on holiday can be fatal when you’re trying to lose weight!

I’ve asked myself again and again, ‘How can I get slim and stay slim?’ And after a lot of research I’ve uncovered a wealth of information that I’d like to share with you.

Is there a best way to slim?

There’s no single best way to slim that would suit everyone, because everyone is different. But if you know some of the ways that have worked for other people, the chances are that among them will be at least one that can help you to get slimmer.

What’s the secret of discovering how to stay slim? Some people – a lot of them naturally thin anyway – trot out a smug and insensitive answer: ‘Just eat less and you’ll lose weight.’ It sounds so easy, doesn’t it? But most people discover that this either doesn’t work for them, or isn’t something they can keep up. That’s always been my problem, and perhaps it’s yours as well.

Surveys have shown that more than two thirds of women feel that they need to get slimmer. The media bombard us with all the latest ‘how to slim’ celeb or fad diets. But many of these diets offer conflicting advice. So we’re left without a clue regarding what’s the best way to slim and what we really should or shouldn’t be eating. Is this why so many of us give up even trying?

Women can feel under enormous pressure to be slim. My own weight has gone up and down quite often in recent times, but I now understand a lot more about why this happens, and learning how to slim and stay slim is what I want to share with you.
